Quick Notify Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 7, 2026
Nugo ("the Developer") builds and operates the Android and iOS application "Quick Notify" ("the App"). The App lets people in a group, such as a family or a club, send preset alerts with one tap, and lets recipients confirm or reply right from the notification. This policy explains what information the App collects, where and for how long it is kept, and how to delete it.
1. Information Collected and Why
The App has no sign-up with an email address or phone number. When you first open the App, it creates an anonymous account and stores the following information on the server.
| Information | When | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous account ID | When you first open the App | To tell users and their group data apart |
| Name (nickname), emoji, color | When you create or join a group, or change them in the 가족 (Family) or 모임 (Club) tab |
To show group members who sent an alert and who confirmed it |
| Group information: group name and type, member list, admin, invite code | When you create or join a group, or create an invite code | To run the group and invite new members |
| Alert content: preset alerts (title, emoji, question, messages, senders and recipients, schedule), sent alerts, confirmations, replies and added messages | When you create, send, or reply to an alert | To deliver alerts and show who confirmed and what they replied |
| Settings: alerts hidden from Home, turning off your share of a scheduled alert | When you change them | To apply them to Home and scheduled alerts. Group members can see that you turned off a scheduled alert |
| Device information: push token, device type (iOS or Android), time zone, whether notifications are allowed, time an alert arrived on the device | When you open the App or receive an alert | To send alerts, schedule alerts in your time zone, and show members who cannot receive alerts |
| Access logs: IP address, app information (User-Agent), time and result of each server call, IDs of processed jobs, which include your anonymous account ID | When the App calls the server | To operate the service, find errors, and prevent abuse such as repeated invite code attempts |
| Crash information: error details, device model, OS and app version, installation identifier | When the App crashes or an error occurs in the App | To fix errors |
- The App does not access your location, contacts, photos or camera, or text messages.
- The App contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. It uses only a crash-reporting tool (Firebase Crashlytics).
- The text of added messages and replies is not written to server logs or crash reports.
2. Who Can See Your Information
- Members of the same group can see your name, emoji, and color, and whether you can receive alerts (including whether notifications are allowed). Your time zone, device type (iOS or Android), and the time you joined are not shown on screen, but they are included in the data that group members' apps receive.
- All members of a group can see the group's preset alerts. A sent alert, with its confirmations and replies, is visible to its sender and recipients.
- The Developer looks at server data only when needed to operate the service, investigate errors, or answer inquiries.
3. Retention
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Sent alerts with their confirmations and replies | Automatically deleted 30 days after sending |
| Alert delivery records (including arrival times) | Deleted 7 days after delivery finishes |
| Access logs | Deleted after 30 days. To count invite code attempts, a hash of the IP address is stored instead of the address itself and is deleted after one hour |
| Invite codes | Stop working 24 hours after creation |
| Crash information | Kept by Firebase Crashlytics for 90 days, then deleted |
| Name, emoji, color, device information | Kept while you are in a group, and deleted as described in Section 4 |
| Group information, preset alerts | Kept while the group exists, and deleted when the last member leaves the group |
| Anonymous accounts not in any group | If you only open the App, or the App returns to the start screen after you delete your account, an anonymous account with only an ID and creation time (no name or records) remains. These accounts are not deleted separately |
Information deleted automatically is usually removed within a day after the stated time. Deleted information cannot be recovered.
4. Deleting Your Account and Data
You can delete your data in the App.
- Tap
가족 나가기(Leave family) or모임 나가기(Leave club) at the bottom of the가족(Family) or모임(Club) tab. The App's screens are in Korean. - Your member information in that group (name, emoji, color) is deleted, and your name in the remaining records is replaced with
나간 구성원("a member who left"). You are also removed as a sender or recipient of preset alerts. Preset alerts you created are shared by the group and are not deleted. - When you leave your last group, your anonymous account and device information (such as your push token) are also deleted. This is account deletion. If you keep the App installed, it returns to the start screen and creates a new anonymous account with no name or records.
- When the last member leaves a group, all of that group's data (preset alerts, records, invite codes) is deleted.
- When a group admin removes (
내보내기) a member, that member's data is deleted the same way as if they had left. - After you leave or delete your account, alerts you sent and your confirmations and replies (including added messages) stay in the other participants' records under the name
나간 구성원("a member who left") until 30 days after they were sent. Delivery records, access logs, and crash information are deleted after the periods in Section 3. - Uninstalling the App alone does not delete server data. Please leave your groups before uninstalling.
- If you have already uninstalled the App or cannot delete your data in the App, ask your group admin to remove you, or email us at the address in Section 12 with the app name, group name, and your name (nickname). We will delete your data after confirming your identity.
5. Service Providers and International Transfers
The Developer uses the following services to operate the App. The Developer does not sell your information or use it for advertising, and does not share it with anyone other than the providers below, except when required by law.
| Recipient | Role | Information | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Firebase: Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Authentication, Cloud Messaging, App Check, Crashlytics, Cloud Logging) | Data storage and server processing, anonymous accounts, alert delivery, verifying requests come from the genuine App, crash reporting, access logs | All information in Section 1 | Group and alert data and server processing: Republic of Korea (Seoul). Anonymous accounts, alert delivery, crash information, and access logs: Google data centers in the United States and elsewhere |
| Apple Inc. (Apple Push Notification service, App Attest) | Delivering alerts to iPhones, verifying the genuine App | Push token, notification content (group name, member names, alert title, question, message, added message or reply) | Apple data centers in the United States and elsewhere |
- When and how: sent as needed while you use the App, over encrypted connections.
- Retention: as in Section 3. Apple keeps notification content only as long as needed to deliver it.
- If you do not want your information transferred abroad, you can delete it as described in Section 4. In that case you cannot use the App.
- Recipient contacts: Google LLC — https://support.google.com/policies/troubleshooter/7575787 ; Apple Inc. — https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/contact/
6. Information Stored on Your Device
The following information stays on your device and is not sent to the Developer.
- The list of recently sent added messages and replies (chips for sending them again)
- The group you last viewed, display settings (light or dark mode and accent color), and app state such as which tips you have already seen
- The sign-in state of your anonymous account
Leaving a group deletes that group's chips, and leaving your last group deletes everything except display settings. Uninstalling the App deletes all of it. To show screens quickly, the App keeps a copy of server data (group and alert records) on the device. This copy is deleted when you uninstall the App. If Google Backup (Android) or iCloud Backup (iOS) is enabled on your device, this information is included in that backup. The backup is kept by Google or Apple in your account and cannot be accessed by the Developer.
7. Permissions Used by the App
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Notifications | Shows alerts sent in your groups and scheduled alerts, and lets you confirm or reply with notification buttons |
| Time Sensitive notifications (iOS) | Lets only alerts your family marked to alert even in Focus (집중 모드에서도 알리기) break through Focus modes. You can turn this off in iPhone Settings |
| Internet, network state | Communicates with the server |
| Vibration, prevent device sleep (Android) | Vibrates for alerts, and keeps the device awake while an incoming alert is processed |
8. Your Rights and Those of Legal Guardians
- You can change your name, emoji, and color in the
가족(Family) or모임(Club) tab at any time, and delete your data as described in Section 4. - To request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your information, email us at the address in Section 12. We will respond within 10 days of receiving your request.
- The legal guardian of a child under 14 can make the same requests.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is currently in a private test (beta) used only by invited families. Children under 14 can take part in a family group.
- A child joins a family group that includes their guardian, using an invite code the guardian gives them.
- Before the test, the Developer explains to the guardian the information collected (Section 1), the retention periods (Section 3), and how to delete data by leaving (Section 4), and obtains the guardian's consent.
- Guardians can ask at any time to see or delete their child's information.
10. How We Protect Your Information
- Communication between the App and the server is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Server rules let only members of a group read that group's data, and the server accepts requests only from the genuine App (Firebase App Check). Delivery receipts are verified with a key included only in that notification.
- All information written to the server is validated by the server before it is stored.
- Invite codes work for only 24 hours, and the number of attempts is limited.
- Only the Developer's accounts can access the server console and logs.
11. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated content and effective date will be posted on this page.
